The American Needlepoint Guild, Inc. (ANG) is an educational, non-profit organization whose purpose is educational and cultural development through participation in and encouragement of interest in the art of needlepoint. ANG defines needlepoint as any counted or free stitchery worked by hand with a threaded needle on a readily countable ground.

Membership in ANG is open to all stitchers, amateur and professional, novice and experienced, and everything in between. The only criteria for membership are a love of needlepoint and a desire to learn more about this popular art.

For more information about the Potomac Chapter of ANG and any of its activities, please call Melissa Novak at 703-257-0139.

No part of this Web site may be published, reproduced, stored in, or introduced into a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means whatsoever (including electronic, mechanical, photocopy) other than for personal or ANG use without written permission from the copyright holder.

MEETING INFORMATION

The Potomac Chapter of ANG meets on the third Thursday of every month.  Our meeting time is from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM with the meeting actually beginning at 7:30 PM. The program signup is usually due at the meeting prior to program date. In special cases the signup cutoff maybe earlier. Not all members choose to participate in a given program and bring their current project to stitch.

DIRECTIONS

Glade Room

11550 Glade Drive

Reston, VA  20191

Take the toll road (West) to Reston Parkway and make a left onto the parkway. Go to the 4th traffic light and make a left onto Glade Drive. Continue down Glade for about 1.5-2 miles. You will see some tennis courts on the left and the parking lot is just past the tennis courts and the building is past the parking lot (all use the same driveway). If you get to the stop sign you have just missed it (the building is on your left). The room is on the second floor of the building, but there is a ramp on the far end of the building for those who have difficulty with stairs.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Membership in ANG is $33 per year, and in the Potomac Chapter is an additional $12 per year. For plural membership the fee is $12 per year. Membership is open to anyone interested in the needle arts. Please contact our Membership representative.

Chapter Pins

Chapter Pins are available for $5 each. If you are a new member or would like to purchase a second pin, please contact the Treasurer.
